Conor is very fair in his assessment, doesn’t single any one team out but makes a number of key points.
The prevalence of players taking the ball into contact looking for a free, in the knowledge they have this get-out-of-jail option should they not receive one.
The rubbishing of the “quick hands” argument.
The conflict between how underage players are coached and what they see the superstars doing, and the power of imitation.
The fact that it is now a “constant distraction that takes away from the enjoyment of the game”.
The denouncing of the GAA’s solution to once again just reiterate to teams that a throw is a foul.
